Questa è la storia di Haregewoin Teferra, eroina per caso ad Addis Abeba. Psicologicamente distrutta dopo un lutto, ha trasformato la disperazione in coraggio, accettando di accogliere nella sua casa uno dei milioni di orfani che l'AIDS lascia ogni anno sulle strade dell'Africa.

Chi Siamo - Who we Are
The Children For Peace Onlus è una ONG fondata con lo scopo di portare una luce di speranza ai bambini orfani e malati di Hiv attraverso l'istruzione e l'informazione su argomenti come l'Hiv, la droga, e dare loro una prospettiva reale di nuove opportunità di vita, per migliorare se stessi e le loro famiglie.
Sono tante le iniziative nel mondo, tante gocce d'acqua che riempiono un vaso, noi cerchiamo di andare sul luogo, cerchiamo i villaggi più poveri, cerchiamo e riusciamo a dare assistenza a coloro che sul luogo aiutano i piccoli. I bambini si trovano in situazioni di forte analfabetismo, di confilitti armati, di fame, di malattie e non hanno la possibilità di gridare al mondo le loro difficoltà. The Children For Peace riesce attraverso i suoi collaboratori ad arrivare e dare aiuto. Abbiamo adottato il villaggio in Etiopia di Haregewoin Teferra, dove vivono bambini orfani e sieropositivi. Siamo inoltre in Mali, in Uganda, in Darfur, in Palestina ed Israele. Siamo orgogliosi di aver ricevuto dall'UNESCO il riconoscimento per il nostro impegno e per i nostri progetti a livello internazionale.
Le donazioni ricevute vengono devolute unicamente ai progetti di aiuto, unica spesa è il canone annuo versato per la revisione dei documenti.
The Children for Peace (ONLUS) is an NGO founded with the express purpose to bring the light of hope and success to children through education in the areas of formal education, HIV/AIDS, drugs, and the realistic pursuit of opportunities to better themselves and their current and future families. Many studies and humanitarian reports have been performed all of which have very similar findings. Despite the man-hours spent investigating the plight of these suffering children, there has been a lack of focus on the essential necessities that would allow these children to have the opportunity to change their conditions as well as the conditions of their immediate and future families. The Children for Peace (ONLUS) has taken on the cause of such children internationally and intends to pursue all possible avenues to provide them with the help and support that will allow for the best possible chance at a better future.
Children are caught in the wars of illiteracy, of armed conflict, of hunger, starvation, illness, and of isolation from opportunity. Although the task of remedying such situations is great, and often, to others, impossible, we know that the only way adversity is overcome is to confront it head-on and take all necessary actions to create change. It is with this in mind, that The Children for Peace was founded.
We recently received recognition from UNESCO for our work, of which we are very proud. The UNESCO link will take you you to the publication.
All donations we receive go directly to the projects we help fund. We pay no salaries and no overhead except for annual fee paid to our accounting firm that files all documents required for the government in Italy.
